Get ready to responsibly recycle your unwanted paint! The Town of Palmyra, in partnership with GreenSheen Paint, is pleased to announce an upcoming Paint-Only Recycling Event on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at the Palmyra Highway Barn in Palmyra, New York. This event offers a convenient and responsible way for all New Yorkers to dispose of unwanted paint.

There are no limits on the amount of paint you can bring, and this event is open to all residents of New York State, including businesses, contractors, schools, farms, and government entities.

Accepted Materials include latex and oil-based paints, stains, and varnishes – any amount, from sample sizes to five-gallon containers. Just make sure the containers are original, non-leaking, and have their labels intact. (Sorry, but this event can't accept spray paints, thinners, or other hazardous materials.)

"We are thrilled to offer this opportunity for area residents to clear out their unwanted paint while helping the environment," says Luke Peters, Operations Manager at GreenSheen Paint. “All collected paint (as well as paint cans) will be recycled into our high-quality, eco-friendly latex paints.”
